Apple has removed the $499 iPhone 11 from the online Apple Store, discontinuing the device following the introduction of the new iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max at today’s ‘Far out’ special event.
Until today, the iPhone 11 continued to feature in the iPhone lineup as an entry-level device after being first introduced in 2019, priced less than $100 more than Apple’s most affordable iPhone, the iPhone SE.
However, unlike the iPhone SE, the iPhone 11 offered a larger 6.1-inch display, Ultra Wide camera, 2x optical zoom range, up to 17 hours of video playback, Face ID, and increased water resistance to a depth of 2 meters for up to 30 minutes.
Additionally, Apple has also discontinued the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Stock of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 13 Pro series will likely remain available with third-party retailers and network providers until inventory eventually depletes.
