The Toys R Us and Babies R Us brands are back to selling merchandise in the U.K. after launching a digital flagship website.
The news comes as consumers are ramping up holiday season activity earlier than usual in a quest to find deals and discounts, according to various reports. It also follows on the heels of the Toys R Us brand relaunching in the U.S. within Macy’s locations.
WHP Global is the parent company for the brands and the website will offer “a massive range of products,” according to a press release.
“The momentum behind the Toys ‘R’ Us brand and its return to key markets including the U.K. and United States has been phenomenal. Since acquiring the brand in March of last year, we have grown its global footprint by 50% and we are still in early innings for what customers can expect from both Toys ‘R’ Us and Babies ‘R’ Us as we head into 2023,” Yehuda Shmidman, chairman and CEO of WHP Global and Toys “R” Us, said in the release.
