A website it making it easy for you to shop local for your holiday gifts.
Surcee.com was created to connect people to shops and merchants in the Greenville area. The founder of the website, Allan Symonette, said it’s a way for people to browse local shops at all hours. He said people can have the purchases shipped to their home, or they can pick up their purchases in the store.
He encourages people to support these business owners, who are our neighbors, this holiday season.
“The website is great for shopping local but it’s also great for browsing and discovering. We’re trying to make everybody aware of all of the great things we have in Greenville,” Symonette said.
Symonette said that right now, surcee.com features a holiday gift guide.
“We have some incredible local merchants, businesses and makers, and they are part of our community, and we should support our community,” Symonette said.
He said the website features items at all prices from close to 50 local merchants, including Pink Bee on Augusta Street in downtown Greenville. Pink Bee sells items from brands like Barbour and Lilly Pulitzer.
Leigh Ann Miller, owner of Pink Bee, said shopping local means supporting your neighbors and getting great customer service.
“Shop local, we can get it out super quickly. The moment we get an order we do a happy dance, and it goes out that day. If you really need something super quickly, give us a call. I’ve made plenty of runs to the mailbox to make sure it gets out that day for someone’s specific event. And you’re not going to get that from any type of corporate website,” Miller said.

Right now, surcee.com only features Greenville merchants, but Symonette said they are looking to expand to other communities in the future.
